Back in May, I made a trip to Philly to see family and my best friend. In between enjoying time family, I had to explore Philly a bit. I'm a sucker for Italian food.

The day before we left, we had made plans earlier that day for dinner at a restaurant that my Grandma Carole wanted to go to. After dealing with our flight back home being changed and talking to so many customer service reps, we just wanted eat somewhere close. When we first arrived, we had drove passed a restaurant called Burrata. My Grandma Carole had remembered it was in walking distance to our air bnb and that is where we ended up.

Lately, I've come to the realization that I'm all for restaurants with great food and thwithwirhwih ambiance is also a plus, let's call it affordable luxury dining if you will lol. Buratta is a small and intimate restaurant, which I loved. Also, it was a BYOB so a quick trip to the liquor store is definitely needed before you arrive.

Okay, let's get to the food. I started off with Burrata as an appetizer (my coworker put me on and I can't get enough of it lol.) It was roasted bell peppers, prosciutto, and fig balsamic glaze.

For dinner, I opted for the Gnocchi. Now I don't ever eat Gnocchi, I don't even eat Grandma Judy's Gnoochi but this, this right here was perfection. It was so creamy and delicious! It's made a truffle mushroom cream sauce, with walnuts and shaved parmigiano.

Y'all know I'm a dessert queen, so I couldn't end the night without ordering something. From what I remember, I believe this was the triple chocolate cake. All you guys need to know is that I devoured it lol.

I honestly can't stop thinking about this restaurant and plan on going back when I make a trip to Philly again. I know I'm not a food critic but they get a 9 out of 10 in my book. The service was impeccable and the food was afforadable and memorable. Burrata is worth it if you're going out with a small group or even a date. If you're in Philly and you try it, let me know.

Hey y'all! I know it's been a minute since I wrote a post, but here I am making an appearance. Honestly, I've just been dealing with a lot such as work, styling and just trying to navigate this thing called life. Let's get straight to it though.

Ya'll know I am not a sneaker person and I've tried multiple times. I even dated a person who even bought me a pair of Jordans so we could match and at the time I was for it, but later on I realized I was just trying to please him. I didn't even know how to style sneakers back then. Here we are now and I feel as though my style has grown and I can definitely be stylish in some sneakers.

A few months back, I downloaded the sneakers app and to tell you the truth I don't even know what for. I tried to get a few pairs I liked, but had no luck. Finally, one morning I tried to get my size in two different pairs. I ended up getting my size in the Women's Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SE 'Bubble Gum.' I was hype as hell but then I thought to myself, "What am I gonna wear these with?" The hunt began.

I was asking people who wore sneakers what color to even pair with Navy and Pink. I was lost and overthinking every piece of clothing I found that I thought I could wear with this. I spoke with a friend and he had mentioned to wear cream tones, more of a neutral vibe and let the shoes do the talking. Now, why couldn't I think of that (rolls eyes.)

Of course, I had to check ASOS, which is one of my favorite websites to shop from. I found some nude and white swirl mom jeans and a ruched cross over halter top. Now I didn't think the jeans would be this long, but then again I'm only 5"0 haha. I made them work though! I accessorized with some gold jewelry and pink 90's shoulder bag, which is vegan leather by the way. All I can say is, I'm definitely happy about the look and shout out to friends who give you tips!

What do you ya'll think of the fit?

The title says it all, but, yes, a few weeks ago I finally went and bought my first car! At the age of 27 lol, some may say that's a long time for someone to wait to buy their first car but whatever.

To say I'm excited is beyond what I'm feeling, it's a bunch of feelings: excited, proud, grateful, etc. I have been on a high since I've had my new baby in my possession. I do have to say I'm proud of myself because I actually did my research and bought this car all on my own. When I was younger, I remember my brother and I saying we wanted matching Cadillac Escalades then once I got to high school I wanted an Audi R8 (still my dream car lol.) At the age of 27, I realzied that luxury isn't everything and I was okay with not having my dream car, YET.

I ended up purchasing a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL in Portifino Grey. Now, I really wanted the N Line, but the salesman, Lucio, at Braman Hyundai had informed me they only had one and it was sold. Of course, I asked if there was something similar to it and he showed me the SEL. He said there wasn't too much of difference, just that the N Line has an outline of red on the interior and it goes up to 190 mph (my granpda told me I didn't need a car that goes that fast, *insert eye roll*.)

When I took it for a test drive, I was in love from how smooth it rode, the wireless charging, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, the Sport and Smart Drive, and don't even get me started about how I have camera helping me see when I reverse lol. It has Blind Spot Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and more! One of my concerns was the interior because it is a cloth type of interior and I don't want any stains in my car. Lucio informed me, I wouldn't have any issues with the interior but still a tad worried.

Yes, I purchased it and no I did not lease it. For me, I felt like buying was the better option. I was able to drive it off the lot the day I purchased it, but I had to bring it back so it could get tints. I had amazing service at Braman Hyundai and couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. I'm grateful I was finally able to do this for myself and I'm grateful for the help I had from my grandpa, Lucio, and the finanicla advisor. Now to come up with a nickname for my baby LOL!
