About a week or two ago, I took a little time away from everyone and everything, while doing that we already know I did a little online shopping in between relaxing and enjoying some sun. I came across TOBI, a website that has all your go to fashion trends for any season and for a reasonable price! You can never go wrong with affordable prices.  I decided to give the store a shot and purchase a few items, plus I always love finding new stores I can order from.

Two of the items I purchased are shift dresses. A shift dress is a short, sleeveless dress that hangs loose on body down from the shoulders. This type of dress has been worn since the 1920’s, but it didn’t become popular until 30 years later. There is an argument about who designed it first, either Hubert Givenchy or Lilly Pulitzer. The shift dress can be styled many different ways and worn to any occasion.

Now this shift dress I had a little challenge styling because of the color. For me, mauve is tough color because I feel as though you’re limited as to what colors you can wear it with. I literally spent days on Pinterest trying pull inspiration from anywhere and sitting in my closet starring at my clothes. For my first outfit, I wore my tailored pants from H&M, and for shoes my Follies Spikes.

For my second outfit, I decided to try something different and wear this dress, as top. I wore my navy blue, skirt from H&M and Follies Spikes from Christian Louboutin. I hope you guys like it!

After the Fall/Winter 2017-’18 fashion shows, we are gearing up to prepare ourselves for the upcoming trends of the season. This Fall season, we have so many trends that we can expect according to Elle magazine such as vintage inspired furs, Victorian collars, couch florals and buttons to name a few.

One trend that really stood out to me is buttoned-up, because this past season we saw how everything was focused around lace. It didn’t matter if it was a shoe or an article of clothing it had lace. This fall season, fashion is all about buttons! Yeah, I know what you’re thinking buttons can be a lot sometimes, but they definitely give a piece of clothing a different look. Since all the fashion shows were all about pants and shirts having buttons, I decided to focus on my shoes…well boots in particular.

Listen, I’ve always been in love with thigh high boots, but can’t wear them because of my height. It sucks. I finally found a boot that hugs my leg perfectly and just gives my outfit a new spin on things. It’s a Louboutin, you already know haha and it’s called the “Fabiloa.” It’s alos, a knee-high boot, which works for me. Now let’s focus on the buttons: they start at the bottom of the boot and go to the top. The color of the buttons are cream, brown, and hit of black and they’re kind of swirled together, which give the boot a cool look. These boots are easy to put on and take off, just button-up and go! simple as that.

I styled my boots with a black skirt and basic white tee from H&M, and topped it off with my new velvet toggle jacket from Zara. This outfit can take you from the office to grabbing a quick drink with a friend.  You really can’t go wrong with it. Let me know what you think (;

Miami Swim Week has just ended and I feel like I can finally sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine (maybe two). I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about my interning experience at Miami Swim Week with Showroom 212.

Last year I interned with Showroom 212, which is based in New York. It’s a showroom that carries mostly Brazilian swimwear brands. I actually found the internship on internships.com and I was beyond excited to see that the same showroom was looking for an intern for Miami Swim Week 2017. I immediately applied and few days later, I received an email from the sales manager, Gabriele. Gabriele was super sweet and informed of the dates and times, they needed. She, also, let me know about the brand I would be working with Triya.

Triya is a Brazilian brand that carries swimwear. The swimsuits are amazing, a few of them actually caught my eye (definitely purchasing one ASAP). I got to intern at the swim show located in the Miami Convention Center. All the brands that attend the show have their own booth showcasing their new samples. The brands even had models wearing some of their items to show buyers what they look like on a person’s body. Believe me, it looks completely different on your body than it does on a hanger. Throughout the week I got to help with set up, organization of swimwear on the racks, converse with buyers about Triya, how to take notes for the buyers, and more! I’m so appreciative of this opportunity to work Swim Week with Showroom 212 again because it was a learning experience and has prepared me for what I take on next !
