The Denim Edit

Denim jeans are an essential item that everyone needs in their closet. They come in various fits and sizes, but today I wanted to discuss two of my favorite pairs of jeans from ASOS.

Now last month was my second time ordering a pair of jeans from ASOS. I purchased the ASOS DESIGN Petite high rise slouchy mom jeans in a size W25 L28. I've been seeing mom jeans every where on social media, mostly on TikTok lol so I decided to try them out. I did purchase these jeans on sale, just a side note for my mom (she thinks I buy everything full price LOL.) When I received these jeans, the fit was perfect especially around my waist, I was shocked I didn't have to get them taken in. I haven't stopped wearing them since I received them in the mail; they're honestly my go to pair of jeans.

My second pair is also so from ASOS. Clearly I'm an ASOS fanatic, it happens to the best of us. When I'm looking for denim jeans, I tend to just look for different shades (light or dark) of denim or black, but this time was different. I purchased mom jeans,(Similar ones are linked) but in a light yellow color and without the bagginess. I felt as though it was good to have a neutral toned pair in my closet to create some looks with.

I haven't had any issues with the quality of these jeans besides me making the holes bigger lol. For the first the pair, I ordered my regular size, but they are petite so if you are taller I suggest getting the Tall fit and for the second pair, I ordered my regular size, as well. I'm satifised with both of pairs jeans and have had them in my outfit rotation since receiving them. I've been even shopping for more tops to go with each pair. We all need a good pair of denim jeans in our closet and each of these are definitely worth it!

Are Clear Heels, the New Cinderella Shoe?

Cinderella, remember her? The Disney princess, we all dreamt of being for Halloween.. in real life, too haha. Until, we grew up and realized she needed a man to come to her rescue, when in all reality women can handle things on their own. Well, Cinderella definitely made a statement in fashion with her notorious glass slipper that fell off on the steps and was left for Prince Charming to find.

About two or three seasons ago in fashion, clear/perspex heels made their debut in fashion from luxury brands to your more affordable brands and they haven't left yet.

The Cinderella shoe, I purchased from Public Desire, was created with a perspex material and a 3.5 inch heel. Around the ankle, you find the same perspex material with some crystal details and diamante bow on the toe box area. Honestly, this heel was a lot shorter than what I normally go for, but it made more comfortable in my opinion. Two downsides to these shoes are: 1. they fog up if your feet are sweaty and 2. the crystals are super delicate (I already lost two and only wore them 3 times, but you get what you pay for.)

Now when comes to cleaning these, I just used a wet wipe and cleaned the inside of the PVC material. Super easy! If you do lose crystals, I would recommend taking them to your local shoe repair/cobbler to see if they can put them back in place.

Crazy Caryn

Alright. I know what you're all thinking, vinyl boots in Miami? How am I doing it with this heat? Well, I definitely feel like my legs shed a few pounds but let me tell you a little bit about my girl, Caryn.

Caryn is a knee-high,vinyl boot that I purchased from Public Desire. She comes with a 4.5" inch block heel. Yes, girl, I said block heel (way more comfortable than a skinny heel if you ask me!) Now I went a size up, but I wish I purchased the size I normally wear, which is a 6 because Caryn fits true to size. Caryn is super stylish and won't cause any commotion (if you get where I'm going.) Now let's get into these looks.

• Look 1: I decided to style the boots with these green, organza pants and money corset (hopefully wearing this corset will bring me lots of money haha.) This look was screaming street style, so I choose to accessorize with these 90's sunglasses and black, over the shoulder bag to bring the look together. The boots were hidden by the length of the pants, but it shows the boots can be styled under pants, as well as over. She's versatile, baby!

• Look 2: Give me an oversized blazer and belt, and I'm good to go. Blazers are a staple that everyone should have in their closet! Now the Cary boot took my outfit to the next level, she made business casual became sexy. I added some cat-eye sunglasses for a dramatic look and lilac, 90's over the shoulder bag for some color. Time for strut into my next meeting!

As the Florida starts to slowly open up, Caryn and I will be inside preparing for our next outing. Stay safe and don't forget to wear your mask!
