There are definitely a lot of shoe trends to expect this coming Spring season, from the kitten heel to athletic inspired boots and shoes, flat platforms and more. One of my favorites has been lace up shoes, whether it’s heels or flats and due to the fact that I love heels, you guys already know I chose a heel.  Any heel or flat that laces up accentuates the ankle because of the buckle, ribbon, string, etc. To me, lace-up shoes tell a bit of a story because they showing that little bit of sexy but concealing it at the same time. They’re definitely an eye-catching shoe, especially when you find one that fits your style.

The shoes I am wearing are from Kendall + Kylie’s line; it’s called the “Ginny” Lace-Up Sandal.” Kendall and Kylie, both have different styles and I feel as though this shoe brings both of their styles together. The color of the shoe is one that caught my eye because of the shade of grey (Pewter Leather) and I don’t own a pair of grey heels. The shoe fits true to size, which is great thing because you never want to buy a shoe that is too big or too small, no matter how much you love it (trust me! Been there, done that). Below you can see how I styled the shoes:

On Thursday night, I attended an event called Meet the Designer: Julian Chang at Allure Showroom. Allure Showroom is a luxury based wholesaler that specializes in contemporary glam. The showroom works with brands such as Abyss by Abby, Baccio Couture, Sara Boo, Savee: Laguna Beach, and more.

The event was focused on showing off Julian Chang’s Miami collection and showing off the collection of designers they already work with. Julian Chang is from Peru and always had a passion for fashion. When he came to the United States, he graduated from The Art Institute of Miami with a degree in fashion design. Ever since then, he has been creating designs and dressing celebrities from all over the world.

When I first arrived at the event, I was super nervous because I knew I wasn’t going to know anyone and had to break out of my shell. The event was set up to where each designer’s collection had a different space. The guests got to converse over some food and bubbles (champagne), while also getting familiar with each collection, especially Julian’s. I got the chance to chat with the Sales and Marketing Manager of Allure Showroom; she was a sweetheart.

Julian’s collection was to die for. It was sophisticated, but yet still gave you that Miami lifestyle vibe. Through his Miami Collection, you got see how Miami inspires his collection, as well as how talented he is. Clients and guests got to try on pieces from his collection and others too. I tried on a dress from Savee: Laguna Beach and I loved it so much. I made it my first purchase from Allure Showroom. I am beyond excited to wear it.

Overall, for my first event as a blogger, this event was amazing opportunity to shop and network. What’s better than planning for your future and shopping? The ladies of Allure Showroom definitely put together a successful event. Thank You for letting me attend!

We all know how velvet has been a favorite this fall/winter season; well another favorite has been patent leather. Some designers, such as Hood By Air and Lacoste have used patent leather boots in their Fall 2016 runway shows for New York Fashion Week. Ankle boots are always my go to because of how short and tiny I am, but these boots really put the icing on the cake for me. Back in the day, patent leather was usually only worn on special occasions. For example, some girls would wear patent leather Mary Jane’s with their best holiday dress. Nowadays, patent leather is one of those materials that women and girls can wear in all four seasons. It gives your outfit that instant Wow factor, while still giving off that feeling of sophistication. When it comes to putting  an outfit together, you could always go with the denim jeans, a white T-shirt or blouse, and throw a long duster coat on or you can even try a pleated skirt with a non-hooded sweatshirt for more of a street style look. Below you can see how I wore the boots:
