It’s been a year since I was in a relationship and honestly, I’ve learned so much about myself since then.

I didn’t go looking for love when I was in my past relationship, it just happened. One minute, we are just texting and talking on the phone and the next, we were spending all our time with each other.

It’s funny because you’re so happy and everything is going really well and then all of sudden you slowly start to feel like things are changing. But, me, I ignored all those signs of things changing and kept pushing them to side…Sometimes I wish I didn’t ignore them because I could’ve at least stopped myself from being as hurt and angry as I was.

But here we are now, a year has passed. Yes, there were times where I felt like I needed to be with someone because my friends were all in relationships or getting engaged. I guess you can say I felt left out, but I started to realize that it’s their time to shine and be happy. It’s my time to buckle down and focus on my goals. Here I am, healing and learning more about my self each day. I’m embracing my style more than I ever have before. I’m speaking up about things that don’t sit right with me, I’m learning more and more about my stylist skills. I’m happy with who I am becoming.

One of the biggest trends that I have seen this season is neon! I have seen it everywhere from shoes and clothes to nails and hair. As I spoke about in my last post, I styled a neon denim jacket and pants set with a cheetah print top. I decided to keep the same feel for this look as well; neon and animal print!

A Miami Blogger, by the name of Kenjay, actually recommended that I try out the neon trend with zebra print. What do you know, it was a hit! I purchased a zebra dress and put a neon skirt (my skirt is all sold out) over it, so the dress acted more like a top. For shoes, I wore the Paris from After 5 Klassy Shoes. Of course, my hair was neon too so that I basically was the cherry on top of the whole look.

I felt like a neon princess while wearing this look in NYC. I hope the neon trend never goes away because I will be so disappointed but then again we all know fashion trends change every day.

Hope you all love this look!

Hey Guys!

Today I wanted to show you how I styled a few of this season’s trends. There’s so many trends this season such as bold colors, animal prints, beige and utility looks, biker shorts, florals, earthy tones, and many more. A few trends that I love are: biker shorts, animal prints, beige and earthy tones.

First up, I wanted to discuss biker shorts. Now when you think of biker shorts, what comes to mind? I think of like spandex that we’d possibly wear to the gym. Well, now they are for more than just the gym and they are more popular than ever. Since they are a key trend this season, I figured I style them! I wore the biker shorts with a white, tie waist top (which is on sale by the way). I threw an orange, tweed blazer over it to give it more of a business look. For shoes, I wore the Wonder Pump in silver. I accessorized with the Zoompouch.

The second and third trends of the season that I want to discuss are: neon and animal prints! I had purchased a neon denim jacket and matching pants a while back and it was just hanging on my rack of things to shoot. One day I thought to myself, why not combine two trends together. I decided to wear the leopard print top underneath the jacket (the wind was not cooperating with me here.) I opted for a Faridaravie Sandal. I accessorized with a gold, circular cage bag.

I, also, styled a second look for the neon trend with just the pants. I kind of had a color blocking idea. I used the same accessories and shoes. I just added a belted utility jacket in a light blue color.

The last trends I want to discuss are beige and earthy tones. In the below look, I had pair the Olar top in the beige color with some papaya yellow, wide legged pants. I accessorized with a yellow purse ( I tucked the strap inside so I can carry it as a clutch.) I wore the Cherry Sandal from Christian Louboutin, but they are hidden by the pants.

I hope you all liked the outfits I came up with for this season’s trends! Let me know what you think below in the comments (:
